El artículo pretende dilucidar el estatuto del tiempo en el discurso capitalista y en el psicoanálisis. Se realiza un breve abordaje histórico para situar las particularidades del discurso capitalista y sus influencias en el tratamiento del tiempo. Se muestra cómo el tiempo ha venido tratándose como un objeto de consumo debido a los imperativos de producción que promueve este discurso. De otro lado, se retoman los postulados freudianos relacionados con la característica atemporal del inconsciente y los aportes lacanianos respecto al tiempo lógico y al inconsciente como discurso del Amo, para analizar las diferencias que existen con el abordaje del tiempo en el discurso capitalista. Como conclusión, se establecen las particularidades de cada discurso en el tratamiento del tiempo.

This writing has the pretension to elucidate the statute of time in the capitalist discourse and in the psychoanalysis. Besides, a brief historical boarding is made for locating the particularities of the capitalist discourse and its infl uences in the treatment of time. It is also shown how the time has become treated as an object of consumption due to the production imperatives promoting this discourse. Then, Freudian postulates related to the timeless characteristic of unconscious are retaken, as well as the Lacanian contributions regarding the logical time and the unconscious as the Master’s discourse, to analyze the differences existing with when approaching the time in the capitalist discourse. In conclusion, the characteristics of each speech in the treatment of time are established.
