This article analyzes two poems by Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, ‘In Hydra’ and ‘Cyclades’, both of them inspired by an experience on the Greek islands and evoking the works of Fernando Pessoa. Therefore, these poems express an interesting dialogue between two paradigmatic poets of Portuguese contemporaneity.
