AbstractIn the modern era, philosophers and scientists started to create new explanatory systems. By doing so, they were breaking ties with the past, especially with the Greek tradition. However, the case of Leibniz is different. First, he recognized the influence of the Greeks in his philosophy; and second, this influence was essential for the development of a definitive system of truths, which we have called the maxima quaestio.KeywordsLeibniz, metaphysics, monads, mathematization of nature. |
