| Resumen: | Abstract. Proposal of academic and institutional organization for the Department of Sociology of the University of Antioquia (1995). The objective of the paper is to examine not only the curricular structures and the curricula, but also the future perspective of this academic unit. From the Symposium some suggestions arose about how to orient the development of the academic and research unit of the Department of Sociology of the University of Antioquia: Teaching and the investigation, are two lines that are expressed organizational and academically in the Department of Sociology. These do not consider like independent fields. • The variety of theoretical and methodological currents that coexist in the discipline but in the curriculum for the formation of the sociologist would be a bedspread from pieces or of matters if it were tried to include in him the majority of the theoretical conceptions of the discipline and all compatible logical idea with the period of formation would be exceeded in this way established for the college levels. The explosive relation demand-opening of specializations in the professional field of Sociology, poses a problem of limits, similar to the one of the election of theoretical currents that orients the academic activities. The list of required specializations is always increasing. The borders between basic the scientific task and the professional practice of the sociologist are diluted, then, the academic and institutional organization must evolve to make the academic profile with the labor profile coherent that the social reality demand. Resumen. Propuesta de organización académica e institucional para el Departamento de Sociología de la Universidad de Antioquia (1995). El objetivo del artículo es examinar no solo las estructuras curriculares y los planes de estudio, sino también las perspectivas futuras de esta unidad académica. Del Simposio surgieron algunas sugerencias acerca de cómo orientar el desarrollo de la unidad académica e investigativa del Departamento de Sociología de la Universidad de Antioquia: La docencia y la investigación, son dos líneas que se expresan organizativa y académicamente en el Departamento de Sociología. Estas no se plantean como tareas independientes La variedad de corrientes teóricas y metodológicas que coexisten en la disciplina pero en el plan de estudios para la formación del sociólogo resultaría una colcha de retazos o de materias si se pretendiese incluir en él la mayoría de las concepciones teóricas de la disciplina y se sobrepasaría con ello toda idea lógica compatible con el periodo de formación establecido para los niveles de pregrado. La explosiva relación demanda-apertura de especializaciones en el campo profesional de la Sociología, plantea un problema de límites, similar al de la elección de corrientes teóricas que orienten las actividades académicas. La lista de especializaciones requeridas es siempre creciente. • Las fronteras entre el quehacer científico básico y la práctica profesional del sociólogo se diluyen, luego, la organización académica e institucional debe evolucionar para hacer coherentes el perfil académico con el perfil laboral que .la realidad social demanda. |
