Resumen: O presente artigo tem como escopo realizar uma análise da relação entre patriarcado, capitalismo e feminismo à luz da IV Jornada de Filosofia Política da UnB: Pensar a Cidade – mais especificamente a exposição argumentativa do professor Luiz Paulo Rouanet com o texto “As mulheres de Atenas, uma falha da democracia grega”. Por meio de uma breve análise histórica, tem-se por objetivo expor a opressão histórica da mulher desde os tempos antigos até a contemporaneidade, demonstrando a submissão feminina nos impérios orientais, no período grego e a utilização, pelo capitalismo, de uma opressão já existente e consolidada para fundamentar a dupla exploração feminina. Ademais, busca-se apresentar o papel do feminismo na promoção da emancipação feminina no espaço público.
Resumen traducido: The purpose of this article is to analyze the relation between patriarchy, capitalism and feminism in the light of the "IV Jorney of Political Philosophy of UnB: to think the city" – more specifically the argumentative exposition of Professor Luiz Paulo Rouanet with the text "Women of Athens, a failure of Greek democracy". Through a brief historical analysis, the objective is to expose the historical oppression of women from ancient times to contemporaneity, demonstrating female submission in the Eastern empires, in the Greek period and the use by the capitalism of an existing and consolidated oppression to support the dual exploitation of women. In addition, it is intended to present the role of feminism in the promotion of female emancipation in public space.
