O presente trabalho visa traçar linhas gerais acerca do objeto da Semântica, destacando-se os três grandes paradigmas sobre a linguagem e as noções de significado e de verdade a eles subjacentes. As perspectivas realistas, mentalista e pragmáticas serão, aqui, apresentadas em sua ascendência histórico-filosófica e em suas abordagens mais contemporâneas. Do mesmo modo, situarei a perspectiva pragmática como aquela que melhor se alinha aos estudos narrativos de cunho interpretativista e sócio-interacional que venho desenvolvendo. As narrativas são aqui entendidas como centrais na constituição dos sujeitos e do mundo que os cercam e, com base no interpretativismo de Geertz, os próprios textos científicos são considerados narrativas sujeitas a reelaborações, em que não se desvelam verdades nem se buscam leis universalizantes. Palavras-chave: Paradigmas Sobre A Linguagem.Vertente Pragmática. Interpretativismo ABSTRACT The present paper aims at outlining the object of Semantics, pointing out the three great paradigms about language and their underlying notions of meaning and truth. The realist, mentalist and pragmatic perspectives will be presented here in their historical-philosophical ascendency and in more contemporary approaches. In the same way, the pragmatic perspective will be situated as the one which better suits the interpretative and sociointeractional narrative studies that I’ve been developing. Narratives are taken as central to the constitution of subjects and the world surrounding them. Based on Geertz’s interpretativism, scientific texts themselves are considered narratives subject to reelaboration, in which thuths are not unfolded and universal laws are not sought. Keywords: Paradigms About Language.
