Profile: Issues in Teachers’ Professional Development... Now in Scopus!
We are pleased to open this edition with this good news: Starting this year, the contents of the journal will be indexed in Scopus database. Let us remember that Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature in the world. It includes scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. In the Colombian context, Scopus is considered a key database, which has a great impact in the evaluation of the quality and visibility of the journals. Being part of it becomes a parameter for the classification of academic journals in the national indexing system.
Nos complace abrir esta edición con una buena noticia: a partir de este año los contenidos de la revista serán indexados en Scopus. Cabe recordar que Scopus es la base de datos más grande a nivel mundial que recoge resúmenes y citas de publicaciones científicas. La base incluye revistas científicas, libros y memorias de congresos. En el contexto colombiano, a Scopus se le considera una base de datos clave pues tiene gran impacto sobre la evaluación de la calidad y visibilidad de las revistas. El hecho de pertenecer a esta base de datos es un parámetro para la clasificación de revistas académicas en el sistema de indexación nacional.
