El hábitat es un concepto complejo que fue trabajado por diversos autores alrededor de la historia como Lefebvre, Harvey, Mercedes Di Virgilio, Ortiz Flores, Ozslak, entre otros. Este artículo pretende señalar los puntos más importantes del estudio del hábitat. Para ello, el recorrido comenzará desde el hábitat y vivienda digna hasta el hábitat y vivienda popular donde es clave el concepto de producción social del hábitat. Luego, se llevará a la experiencia práctica de dos organizaciones de la sociedad civil que trabajan en el mejoramiento del hábitat como Madre Tierra y TECHO-Argentina en la zona oeste del área metropolitana de Buenos Aires. Se utilizará como estrategia metodológica desde un abordaje cualitativo la etnografía virtual de la página web de cada organización y la entrevista semiestructurada a algunos miembros de las organizaciones. Organizations of the civil society: a look at habitat The habitat is a complex concept that was worked by various authors around history such as Lefebvre, Harvey, Mercedes Di Virgilio, Ortiz Flores, Ozslak, among others. This article aims to point out the most important points of the study of the habitat. For this, the journey will start from the habitat and decent housing to the habitat and popular housing where the concept of social production of the habitat is key. Then, it will take to the practical experience of two organizations of the civil society that work in the improvement of the habitat like Mother Earth and TECHO-Argentina in the zone west of the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires. The virtual ethnography of the web page of each organization and the semi-structured interview to some members of the organizations will be used as a methodological strategy from a qualitative approach.
